Miner Willy, while prospecting down Surbiton way, stumbles upon an ancient, long forgotten mine-shaft. On further exploration, he finds evidence of a lost civilisation far superior to our own, which used automatons to dig deep into the Earth's core to supply the essential raw materials for their advanced industry. After centuries of of peace and prosperity, the civilisation was torn apart by war, and lapsed into a long dark age, abandoning their industry and machines. Nobody, however, thought to tell the mine robots to stop working, and through countless aeons they had steadily accumulated a huge stockpile of valuable metals and minerals, and Miner Willy realises that he now has the opportunity to make his fortune by finding the underground store. In order to move to the next chamber, you must collect all the flashing keys in the room while avoiding nasties like POISONOUS PANSIES and SPIDERS and SLIME and worst of all, MANIC MINING ROBOTS, When you have all the keys, you can enter the portal which will now be flashing. The game ends when you have been 'got' or fallen heavily four times.

Here is an updated tribute video, sorry for double videos but this version of Manic Miner is so good, it deserves a video showing the update. This one basically picks up pretty much where the last one ended.
1. Thank you so much for taking so much time to present this great game on GBC, I really appreciate it!
2. It made me smile that the farewell video was made with the GBC GPC logo, a great idea, creative as always!
3. I really like that the game description on the original cassette cover goes in the scroll at the bottom, I think this is also a great idea.
4. I put all your game videos that you made about WLS games on my page under the appropriate game!
I hope you reach the magic number of 1000 subscribers as soon as possible!
Thank you so much, you made my day!
fantastic work, I am amazed by the accuracy and faithfulness to the classic computer platforms. It is really all here, the title screen music (with accurate piano keys just like the original too!) and I love the graphics. They’re just as appealing as the original (Also I like the logo for Gentlemen’s Pixel Club!)
Thank You! It was very difficult to time the piano and the notes had to be converted to the keyboard, but it's good that it's not a 4-hand piano piece. :)
Manic Miner Gameplay
Thank you so much for trying and playing the game and sharing! I'm thankful!
It takes a lot to take the words out of my mouth, but you did it - you honestly did - thank you so much, I really apprichate what you did here.
The brilliant magic aside, this version of Manic Miner is a joy to play - no longer can you use memory muscle to do some levels and this alone makes it all magical again.
Loving what I see here and again, thank you very much. This is my tribute to your brilliant vision.
Hello. Thank you so much, you're incredible for spotting it right away. Let's say I thought you would find it soon, but I didn't think it would be so fast. I looked at the error where the game froze and the problem is not with the MISTer, but I forgot to put the button request for that little plant! :( I fixed it and the good one is out! You just ran into the error, but that's great because we noticed it right away. I'm always afraid that I'm not paying attention to something, but now it happened! It's nice to see the reactions when your logo appears! :) I really like that you play with something without practicing it before, but everything is new to you, this is one of the many positives of your channel. Thanks again, it was a pleasure to pixelate your face! :) :)
Hah - well when I saw you'd done Manic Miner it was a combination made in heaven for the GBC and just needed to be played. Again thank you for what you did, honestly again I cannot thank you enough. I don't usually spoil future videos but I've done as follow up to this, Manic Miner - Revisited, you have also made Monday's video ! :)
Thank you for everything, if you could write me your exact address to info@wls.hu, that would be great, because unfortunately I mixed it up somewhere. :( And Winter (Xmas) is coming! :)
Address sent, thank you. :)
