I see. Well, I myself would try to make the life icons smaller, but perhaps that wouldn't work on the Game Boy's smaller screen. (I don't have an actual Game Boy; I played it on my New 3DS XL.)
The problem is not with size, but rather with the fact that there can't be more than 10 control sprites on the screen at the same time and the 10 are full. The palette is also full, so it couldn't be solved with that either. :( Guess what, I don't even have a Gameboy, or even a Color, just a 3DS. :) Did you know that if you press START continuously and start the game like that, it will run in the original resolution?

Hello. Such a game takes about 1.5 hours to complete. I make 3-4 games in a month, so it's okay if you're suspicious, but the main game was finished during the jam.

Hey, why doesn't this version have a lives system? Just missing a single egg results in a "Game Over".
Yes, it really is. Unfortunately, it was not possible to monitored and displayed on the screen. :(
