I had a dream when I got my first Gameboy handheld game console. I wanted to be able to play the Commodore16/+4 games of my childhood in a way that I could take with me on trips. We had to wait a long time and it didn't turn out that someone made an emulator, but that I rewrote the games. Enjoy this collection of 16 Commodore 16 and Commodore Plus4 games.

TREASURE ISLAND:

Gold! Buried treasure! Wealth beyond your wildest dreams! And all you have to do is guide young Jim Hawkins through Treasure Island's tortuous maze to the treasure trove. But beware! Fierce pirates abound, they will slay Jim on the stroke of a cutlass. And Long John Silver wants the treasure for himself, he will stop at nothing to prevent Jim leaving the island with his haul.

COMMANDO:

You are Super Joe, the crack combat soldier, equipped with only an M60 machine gun, you must carry out your lone crusade forcing your way into hostile territory. Your mission is to invade each of the four areas, cleaning each one of your opponents before finally destroying your objective, the enemy fortress. Watch out, because your mission will end even if you get behind the enemy!

OUT ON A LIMB:

Jack finds himself at the bottom of a beanstalk. After climbing to the top he reaches the Giant's Castle. Once inside, Jack is confronted by several rooms. He knows that in three of these rooms are hidden a golden egg, and a bag of gold. The thought of retrieving these precious treasures and getting out alive is such a challenge for Jack, that he decides to explore the rooms in search of them - but in each room there are perilous obstacles to overcome before he can proceed to the next. Manic Ducks, Killer Jelly Babies, Flying Hatchets and Demon Hoovers etc., are all desperately trying to stop brave Jack going any further. Unfortunately, Jack has nothing with which to defend himself, but being very agile he can jump from ledge to table or table to ledge to try and escape these monstrous creatures and terrible objects, and go on the next room. Out on a Limb is a test of enormous skill and great nerve! With its superb graphics and sound effects this enthralling game will push you to the limit. Get Jack out with the treasure before a horrible fate befalls him!

MONTY ON THE RUN:

Monty having escaped from prison and now superfit so that he can quickly make his way to freedom through many hideouts and secret locations. The gold coins located throughout the game must be collected by Monty to enable him to escape to freedom.

CUTHBERT IN THE COOLER:

The object of the game is to collect the various objects on each screen and get out of the top again while avoiding the guards. You will have 5 Cuthberts to start. Each object you pick up will increase your score (100 points). You start with 6 bombs. These can be laid, one at a time, by pressing the "A" button. Once laid, they can be detonated by pressing "A" for a second time. These will destroy the guard, but not You! You can pick it up with no harms. An extra bomb is awarded for each sheet completed, but maximum of 6 bombs you have.

ASTRO PLUMBER:

You are the maintenance man just arrived from Earth. Your task is to repair the leaking air pipes in caverns under the Moon's surface, which supply the scientists of COLONY 11, a research station. There are inhabitants of the underground caverns which are indestructible, so must be avoided. To help you avoid them you are wearing a jet-pack, enabling you to fly over them. Press "B" to take off. You can't use the jet-pack on the surface. To repair the pipes, you are carrying a plasma laser which when fired underneath the pipe engulfs the leak and seals it. If you leave the screen without repairing all the leaks, on returning to that screen the repaired ones, not will appear again. The air tanks on the Moon's surface can be used to replenish your air supply (+5 by each attempt), by plugging in to them. Your air indicator (on the top of the screen) will show how much air you have. CAUTION - DO NOT OVERFILL!
The game ends if you run out of air or lives. With every level you complete an extra life is gained. You lose a life if you come into contact with any inhabitant, so be warned. When all the leaking air pipes have been repaired, then that round is completed. A bonus will be added to your score, the next round then increases speed of  leaking air making it harder to complete. GOOD LUCK!

GHOST TOWN:

A graphic adventure with 19 high resolution graphic screen to test your wit. Long ago, Belegro the wizard had cast a spell that turned a prosperous little town into a GHOST TOWN. He collected all things of value and stored them in one room. You may be clever enough to solve all the clues and find your way to Belegro guarding the treasure. You may even kill him but the treasure is not yours yet.

JET SET WILLY:

Miner Willy, intrepid explorer and nouveau-riche socialite, has been reaping the benefits of his fortune discovery in surbiton. He has a yacht, a cliff-top mansion, an Italian housekeeper and a French cook, and hundreds of new found friends who really know how to enjoy themselves at a party. His housekeeper, Maria, however, takes a very dim view of all his revelry, and finally after a particulary boisterous thrash she puts her foot down.

When the last of the louts disappears down the drive in his Aston Martin, all Willy can think about is crashing out in his four-poster. But Maria won't let him into his room until all the discarded glasses and bottles have been cleared away. Can you help Willy out of his dilemma? He hasn’t explored his mansion properly yet (it is a large place and he has been very busy) and there are some very strange things going on in the further recesses of the house (I wonder what the last owner was doing in his laboratory the night he disappeared.) You should manage O.K. though you will probably find some loonies have been up on the road and on the beach if I was you.

Good luck and don’t worry.  All you can lose in this game is sleep.

G-MAN:

As a new graduate of the Space Geology College, G MAN is sent on a mission to recover samples from the heart of the Sea of Dreams. Being new to a low gravity environment, he spent a lot of his time experimenting with flying and consequently missed the Moonbus back to the Shuttle, which had set down 900 meters away earlier in the day. Has G MAN realised his predicament too late? He has only 7 minutes to reach the Shuttle before it takes off! But all is not lost - he does have his trusty short-range Jet-pac, and if he uses fuel efficiently as well as picking up more along the way, he could  get there in time... it's all down to your ability now kid...

FINDERS KEEPERS:

Magic Knight has been sent to the Castle of Spriteland by the King of Ibsisima in order to find a special present for Princess Germintrude. If Magic Knight is successful in his quest, he may have proved himself worthy of joining the famous "Polygon Table", a reference to the mythical Round Table from the legends of King Arthur.

SPIKY HAROLD:

You must help Spiky Harold to prepare for hibernation. Each of the chambers beneath the Hedgerow contains an item of food which Harold can eat. However, he must avoid the creatures who will try to stop him. On his travels, Harold may find some coins which will give him extra lives, and wine glasses that will make him drunk (the creatures will be faster). When you have helped Harold to collect ALL the objects, he must be guided to his home cavern where he can hibernate.

AUTO ZONE:

While on a routine ferrying mission your scanners alert you to what seems to be signs of habitation. The source of the signals seem to be coming from the nearby dead moon. As a result of this information you are duty-bound to investigate. So having employed your XL-PROCON surface buggy your computer directs you towards the phenomena in an area called the 'Autozone'. This area has been explored before by several probes, but all have failed to report back. As a result of this, the area is regarded as dangerous. From the information orbital sattelites have been able to obtain, scientists predict that somewhere in this zone there is pocket through which escape 'should' be possible. Succes depends on dexterity and quick thinking...

HEEBIE JEEBIES:

Digger Doc, a previously unknown archaeologist but soon to become internationally famous, has made the discovery of a lifetime; an ancient underground vault stacked with treasure just waiting to be excavated. Each section of the vault contains a treasure chest which can only be removed by pushing it along the corridors to the shimmering exit portal. Pushing is the only way to move the chest and his success will depend on the strategy used to plan a route to the exit. His progress along the corridors will be hindered by the guardians of the vault and if Doc should come into contact with any of them, he lose a life.

Points: 100 points are awarded for each chest pushed through the exit . 100 points for each gold bar and 10 points for each diamond.

CAVE FIGHTER:

Trapped in an underground cave system, you have to escape by travelling through all the caves before your energy runs out. You will come across different aliens which you have to dodge and shoot. If you kill one of the aliens, it will reappear at a set position.

Your man can move left, right, climb ropes, jump and fire. To jump you press the "B" button. The longer you keep the button depressed the higher the man will jump. The man automatically fires in the direction the face is pointing.

LEAPER:

It sounds simple, all you have to do is collect the initials of Leaper’s name. The Gribblies to watch out for include: Gub-Gubs, Mutant Hot X-Burns, the Last VW, Cupids Arrow, The Giro-Biro, and UFO's.

TOWER OF EVIL:

Many years ago, our hero Andros was banished from the court of King Salimos, destined never to return until he could recapture the king's lost treasure and the beautiful princess Diana stolen by a wicked Necromancer and his minions.

Andros has one powerful aid given to him by an old friend -the court wizard, the power to hurt fireballs from his fingertips. Our hero has journeyed to the Tower of Evil, home of the Necromancer. He will have to move from room to room, killing the evil minions as he goes.

Andros will need to collect the treasure and find the key to the gate enabling him to travel to the next level; a drink from the goblet will grant him invincibility or double his strength for a short while.

Andros must deposit his treasures in the chest which will be found on level 7, and rescue the imprisoned princess.

You will need to defeat such nashes as Ashtoroths, Warriors of Ayperos and Baphornets and many others while trying to find your way around the maze-liked Tower of Evil. With over 60 rooms to be explored this game is not for the faint hearted.

Very good! That would be good with also Commodore 64.

(+1)

Thanks! Yes, it could easily be done, because I already have 10 games that came over from C64, but C16 is my childhood love. :)

What is the difference between the demo here and the full version aside from physical/digital? I didn't see anything listed for the full version that I haven't seen in the demo - unless I just haven't run into the limitations yet.

Yes, the demo version shows you the games, but you can only play for a limited time or distance. It does not differ from the physical in any other way, except in this. It's like when you got a CD for a newspaper back then and you could only play Grand Turismo a little on it. :) In the case of physical, you get 16 full games, you can play them all the way through, several levels and of course the very good quality surround.

Thanks, I'd only briefly checked out each so far. I guess with multi-game packs I expect a demo to just be like 3 of the games, but of course this is a legit way to demo them all! It may help for clarification to note the difference somewhere, either here or on the full version store page (unless you already did and I missed it!).

Thank you for your comment, I added the DEMO explanation in the text. Regards,

Absolutely stunning release, thank you soo much.

Here is my tribute video for you...

I'm very happy that it arrived to you before Christmas, it fits under the tree! :) I've been following your work all year long and I take my hat off to the fact that you put so much energy into it, not 2 days go by without a new video and that's great. I got to know a lot of old games from you that I haven't seen before and I got a lot of inspiration from these videos. Keep it up! I wish you all the best!

I'm super happy for your physical release! Unfortunately, it's sold out. I was considering making a video on the final cart. Regardless, congratulations!
